Boisdale
A buzzy place with bar and restaurants
specialising in Scottish cooking with live music (jazz, blues and soul), a whisky bar and a cigar
terrace. Go there for the atmosphere and for the steaks from the grill – all meat is dry aged on the
bone.
Iberica
We
can’t wait for this new branch to open within a few minutes of the barge. It will showcase the best Spain has to
offer with its authentic gastronomic tapas menu.
Plateau
A beautiful glam and grown-up restaurant furnished with design classics serving a French menu
and a bar/grill with more relaxed modern British food. Flooded with wonderful light from the huge windows on
the 4th floor of Canada Place overlooking the gardens.
Jamie's
Rustic and simple Italian food in an
informal space – stays open till 11 so great for a late dinner.
Gaucho
Right on the water and famous for its Argentinean menu especially the extraordinary selection of
steaks
Royal China
We go here regularly for the excellent dim-sum menu. If you get there by 11.30 / 12.00 you can
beat the queues of large Chinese families. In the summer it’s lovely to sit at a table outside right by the
river and watch the ferries come and go.
Roka
Specialises in contemporary Japanese
robatayaki cooking with an open kitchen in a luxurious contemporary space. We come here for a treat and eat
the tasting menu.
The Gun
Our local gastropub serving excellent modern
British food. Apart from this its other claim to fame is that allegedly Admiral Nelson used to meet his
mistress Emma Hamilton there. Wonderful terrace for outdoor eating and drinking in the
summer.
